My Cardiff Half Marathon Training Diary - June - October 2009

WEEK 7

Monday 13th July

Distance - 2.0 miles    Time - 23.12mins

I was so pleased to be out running again!

The first mile was a bit uncomfortable on my legs and my left calf did feel a little bit sore for first few minutes but then as I got into it, I felt great.

That is until the final 200m when my back went! It was agony. It was a sharp twinge on my left side just below my rib cage. It was so sore I had to stop and breathe really softly. If I took too deep a breath, it was agony! So I limped home.

As I type this it's feeling much better but still sore. I'm waiting to hear back from my physio and hope I can see him today.

My body is trying to stop going through all the pain of change, but I'm not going to let it off! I WILL complete Cardiff! I will, I will!!!!!!
