10th August

Distance - 2.0 miles    Time - 24.49mins

I woke up this morning and my back was twingeing just slightly and my legs were sore so I decided to just do a gentle 2 mile recovery run.

The sunshine of last week has gone and I get wet in the light drizzle but it was quite refreshing.

Run felt good and I did lots of stretches when I got back.

11th August

Distance - 5.0 miles    Time - 20.55mins    Bike (on Turbo Trainer)

Just a gentle 5 mile bike session. Kept my HR just below 155.

12th August

Distance - 3.0 miles    Time - 34.09mins

Ran along A370 and into Farleigh Green and along cycle path and then back.

This run felt really good today. Legs and feet feel much better; back is still just a little sore but no probs or twinges and pleased to see my HR getting lower.

13th August

Distance - 5.0 miles    Time - 21.26mins    Bike (on Turbo Trainer)

Easy 5 mile session.

14th August

Distance - 3.25 miles    Time - 37.16mins

I decided to run the other way down the hill by The George and back along cycle path to Farleigh Green.

I felt great on this run and ended up going slightly faster than planned because I felt fairly fresh.

16th August

Distance - 5.0 miles    Time - 56.05mins

Not sure why but I felt really lethargic at the beginning and it was really hard work, but after the 1st mile I got into a rythm and in fact maybe went a bit too fast in my 2nd mile.

I'm seeing my physio on Weds which is goo because my right foot went quite numb after the 3rd mile and for most of the last 2 miles.

But I'm so thrilled to have completed 5 miles. It was really tough; tougher than I thought it was going to be but my legs and back all feel great.
